# Library, playlists and queue

> Liked songs, playlists, sharing codes, the three-part queue and shuffle styles.

## Library

*Liked songs*, *Recently played*, your playlists, followed artists, saved albums
and downloads. Everything can be pinned to the sidebar; right-click a sidebar
entry to hide it again.

## Playlists

* Create one with **New playlist**: type a name, or paste a link or open a
  playlist file to [import](transfer-music.md) it. Add songs from any
  right-click menu, or drag music files from your computer into a playlist.
* Names can be up to 100 characters. A cover image is optional.
* **Share**: copy a short `glyph.my` link (signed in) or a `glyph:playlist:` code.
* **Download all** saves the playlist for offline use where the source allows it;
  *Automatically download new songs* keeps it complete.

## Queue

The queue has three parts:

| Section | Contains |
| --- | --- |
| Now playing | the current song |
| Up next | songs you added with *Play next* or *Add to queue*; they always come first |
| Next from: *playlist* | the rest of the list you started |

Click any song in the queue to continue from there. When the queue ends, radio
can continue with similar songs (needs a Last.fm key on the server or in your
settings).

## Shuffle

Two shuffle styles (**Settings › Playback** or right-click the shuffle button):

* **Smart** feels random: songs by the same artist are spread out and songs you
  just heard move to the end.
* **Fully random** gives every order the same chance, repeats included.
