# First steps

> Search, play, like and collect songs, and the right-click menus of the player bar.

1. **Search.** Press `Ctrl+K` (or click Search) and type a song, an artist or
   even a line of the lyrics. Pasting a playlist link imports it.

2. **Play.** Click a song. Right-click it for more: play next, add to the
   queue, add to a playlist, download, go to the artist.
3. **Like and collect.** The heart saves a song to *Liked songs*. Playlists,
   followed artists and saved albums live in the *Library* and in the sidebar.
4. **Now playing.** Open the full-screen view for the cover, synced lyrics and the
   queue.

## Handy controls

Most buttons in the player bar have a right-click menu:

| Button | Right-click |
| --- | --- |
| Previous / next | jump 10 or 30 seconds, restart the song |
| Shuffle | in order, smart shuffle or fully random |
| Repeat | off, repeat all, repeat one |
| Volume | choose the audio output, mono / stereo / spatial, MPD |
| Mini player | open it as a card or as a bar |

Right-clicking an entry in the sidebar lets you pin it or hide it.

## Languages

Glyph speaks English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Polski, Português,
Русский, Türkçe and Українська. It follows your system language; change it under
